Rainbow Lanes,booked online.

A family-run five-pin alley in Port Alberni, open since 1960. The new site went live in August 2026, and customers now reserve a lane without picking up the phone.

The Rainbow Lanes home page: a lit bowling alley behind the Reserve a Lane button.

What the site does.

Reserve a lane

Pick a date and the site shows only the times still free that day. Bookings run one to three hours and open 30 days ahead. The customer gets a confirmation email and can manage the booking from it.

Leagues, tournaments and parties

League sign-up goes straight into the alley's records, and each season is published from the admin when it is ready. Tournaments have their own page, and private parties come in as a quote request with the details already filled in.

Run from the front counter

Staff handle bookings, customers, events, quotes and leagues from one admin area. The weekly hours are proposed from the alley's Google Business Profile and saved by a person, so the website and the map listing do not drift apart.

How it was built.

Custom, not a template

Written for how this alley actually runs: five-pin, sixteen lanes, leagues, tournaments and a music room under the same roof.

One source for the hours

Google Business holds the real hours. The site reads them and waits for a person to approve the change before customers see it.

Tested before it ships

Every change runs through automated browser tests before it reaches the live site.
